A well-established and highly regarded business services group based near Thetford is looking to bring an experienced Accountant into its finance team. This is a hands-on, broad-ranging role with real variety — you'll be involved across the full finance function, from transactional processing through to monthly reporting and business partnering.

If you're AAT qualified with solid accountancy experience under your belt and you're looking for a role where no two days are the same, this one is worth a closer look.

What you'll be doing:

  • Taking ownership of the purchase ledger — processing supplier invoices through the system and keeping records accurate and up to date
  • Generating customer invoices and getting them out promptly
  • Vetting new customer accounts through credit checks before onboarding
  • Driving credit control from start to finish — chasing overdue balances, sending reminders and stepping up recovery action on stubborn non-payers
  • Reconciling bank and credit card accounts each month, making sure everything balances back cleanly
  • Handling staff expense submissions and getting them onto the ledger
  • Posting the month-end journals — accruals, prepayments and anything else needed to close the books
  • Acting as a finance point of contact for the wider business, answering queries and helping non-finance colleagues make sense of the numbers
  • Pulling together the monthly management reporting pack and KPI tracker
  • Keeping the business on the right side of its internal financial controls and processes

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
