Accountant — International SME Fintech
Summary
Role: Accountant
Location: London
Work arrangement: Full-time, on-site
Compensation: GBP 40,000 – 50,000
You'll join a fast-growing international fintech providing flexible funding solutions to SMEs. Originally launched in Australia, the business now operates across APAC and Europe and has funded more than $1.5B in loans.
What you'll do
- Manage the accounts inbox, making sure urgent or important items are prioritised and escalated appropriately
- Perform daily bank reconciliations and keep loan transactions accurately recorded
- Process supplier invoices, validate supplier bank details, maintain supplier records, and send remittance advices
- Reconcile company credit card transactions and prepare staff expense reimbursements for review and approval
- Support commission pay runs, including updating payment status in Orgmeter
- Help deliver accurate month-end reporting through P&L support, balance sheet and control account reconciliations, and follow-up on discrepancies

Must-haves:
- Early-career accountant experience, with the confidence to run day-to-day accounting tasks accurately while supporting a senior finance team
- Hands-on experience across bank reconciliations, accounts payable, invoice processing, expense and credit card reconciliations, and month-end reporting support
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
Nice-to-haves:
- Experience in financial services, lending, fintech, or another regulated environment
- Experience in a fast-growing, international, multi-entity, or high-volume transaction environment
- Confidence managing multi-entity transactions and reconciliations
- Luxembourg accounting experience
- German language capability
