Are you an experienced Bookkeeper looking to progress your career, or an Accountant seeking a varied role within a supportive and well-established accountancy practice?
Our client is a respected professional services firm with an outstanding reputation built over many years of supporting SMEs across a diverse range of industries. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an Accountant / Bookkeeper to join their friendly and collaborative Cambridge office.
This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a business where your contribution is valued, your client relationships matter, and no two days are the same.
Working with a varied portfolio of clients, your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing statutory accounts
- Managing bookkeeping for a range of SME clients
- Preparing and submitting VAT returns
- Assisting with management accounts and financial reporting
- Preparing personal and corporation tax returns
- Supporting clients with tax planning and compliance
- Building strong, long-term client relationships
- Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance
- Supporting wider business administration and client projects where required

You'll ideally have previous experience within an accountancy practice and enjoy working closely with clients.
You'll bring:
- Practice accountancy experience
- Strong bookkeeping and accounting knowledge
- Experience preparing accounts and VAT returns
- Good understanding of UK tax and compliance
- Experience using cloud accounting software such as Xero, Sage, or QuickBooks
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- A proactive, positive approach
- The ability to manage multiple client deadlines
