About The Role

What You’ll Do
- Provide full oversight of entity month-end close activities and reporting.
- Collaborate closely with accounting shared services and financial integrity teams to ensure timely and accurate entity close processes.
- Calculate and post technically complex or one-off journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Review month-end close activities performed by other team members.
- Complete monthly Profit & Loss and balance sheet analytical reviews, including commentary, revenue trend analysis, and close reviews with FP&A and other key stakeholders.
- Present quarterly balance sheet fluctuation commentary to senior leadership.
- Ensure strict adherence to company accounting policies.
- Research and prepare technical accounting position papers on local accounting issues (US GAAP & Local GAAP), assessing the impact of new or changing accounting standards on the entity.
- Implement internal controls and facilitate SOx Compliance, including validation of key and non-key control reports.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for annual statutory audits with external auditors and support regular internal audits.
- Prepare annual statutory financial statements, incorporating input from local accounting and tax advisors, and present results to senior leadership.
- Own the transfer pricing process for the entity, working with Corporate Tax to ensure appropriate agreements are in place, assessing local business changes that may impact the current structure, and ensuring timely calculation and settlement.
- Drive the completion and filing of Corporate Tax Returns, liaising with external advisors and internal Corporate Tax teams.
- Participate in researching technical taxation issues affecting the regional legal entity, ensuring full documentation of conclusions and positions in white papers.
- Create and maintain awareness among local business partners regarding local and statutory compliance reporting obligations, working to localize accounting systems for compliance with local laws and regulations.
- Support systems implementation projects by defining entity requirements, performing testing, and supporting launch activities.
- Influence team priorities and actively coach and teach peers, fostering a collaborative environment.
- Form strong working relationships with various business partners, including FP&A, Treasury, and Legal teams.
- Actively identify and support change initiatives, leading change that impacts the entity with guidance from management.
- Undertake various project and ad hoc analyses to support business decisions, aiding internal customers in compiling financial information and providing technical advice and analytical support.

To thrive in this role, you will need a robust blend of technical expertise, analytical skills, and leadership qualities. Your ability to navigate complex financial regulations and collaborate effectively will be key to your success.
Must-Have Qualifications
- Proven relevant experience in accounting.
- Qualified accountant (CA/ACA/CPA or equivalent).
- Strong technical (US/UK GAAP or IFRS) and financial accounting expertise.
- Exceptional technical accounting skills, with the ability to research and understand intricate details, and then interpret and present them clearly to both finance and non-finance business partners.
- An analytical mindset, capable of identifying and implementing effective process improvements.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- Experience with large accounting software packages, particularly Oracle financials.
