What difference will you make?
Your help preparing and completing our end of year accounts will have a direct and positive impact on the charity’s ability to improve the lives of animals in our care.
- By ensuring that our annual accounts are accurate, complete and compliant with charity and financial reporting requirements, you will help us maintain good financial governance.
- Accurate and professionally prepared accounts will also strengthen our credibility when applying for grants and seeking donations.
- Your contribution will help create a sound financial foundation for the charity and support our long-term sustainability. This means that more of our time, resources, and fundraising efforts can be focused on our core charitable purpose rescuing, caring for, rehabilitating and improving the welfare of animals in need.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What will you be doing?
We are looking for an accountant with experience of working with the charity commission and filing with them. We can supply you with annotated line by line transactions for the accounting period (144 transactions from bank account opening to time of writing).
The trustees have some experience of end of year accounts with ltd companies, but none with a charity (CIO) so ideally you would be able to guide us through the process and answer some (probably quite straight forward) queries about the process and general charity accounting.
