Role Description

This is a permanent, on-site Accountant role based in Faversham. Responsibilities include:
- Preparing journal entries
- Reconciling bank and balance sheet accounts
- Assisting with month-end and year-end close
- Supporting the production of management reports
- Preparation of self assessment tax returns for clients
Qualifications
- Proficiency in general accounting practices, including ledger maintenance, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
- Experience assisting with month-end and year-end closing and management reporting.
- Comfortable using accounting software and spreadsheets.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities, including prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines in a busy environment.
- Previous experience in an accounting or finance role; professional qualifications (e.g., AAT, ACCA, CIMA part-qualified) are an advantage but is not essential.
- Knowledge of relevant UK accounting standards and basic tax considerations is beneficial.
- Ability to work on-site in Faversham, collaborating effectively with colleagues and contributing to a positive team culture.
