Accountant

Location: 4 Days/Week in Coupar Angus

Salary: £45000 + Package + Progression and Development + Support for Studies

Are you an ambitious finance professional looking to take the next step in your career? We're recruiting for an Accountant to join a growing Finance team, offering genuine career progression and the opportunity to develop into a Manager as you continue to develop.

You’ll support the site’s finance function with accurate reporting, analysis, and insight, while gaining hands-on experience across all aspects of management accounting. Working closely with finance and operational teams, you’ll play an important role in supporting decision-making, driving performance, and ensuring financial accuracy.

  • Supporting month-end and year-end reporting, including journals and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Preparing monthly management accounts, KPI reporting, and financial analysis.
  • Investigating variances and maintaining accurate balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and logistics cost reporting.
  • Managing Asset Under Construction (AUC) records and fixed asset accounting.
  • Assisting with capital expenditure reporting and purchase order approvals.
  • Maintaining strong financial controls and supporting internal and external audit requirements.
  • Partnering with operational teams to improve processes and provide commercial financial insight.

About You

We're looking for someone who has:

  • Part-qualified accountant (CIMA / ACCA / equivalent) or actively studying.
  • Previous experience in a finance or management accounts role (manufacturing or FMCG preferred).
  • Excellent Excel and data analysis skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Motivated to progress your career.
