About The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Accountant to join a well-established chartered accountancy practice based in Clevedon. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an ambitious professional to develop their career within a supportive and growth-oriented environment. Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess either an AAT qualification or be a qualified, part-qualified, or finalist ACA or ACCA professional. Candidates with extensive experience in accountancy practice are also encouraged to apply. You should have a minimum of two to three years, or more, of relevant experience in preparing year-end accounts, tax compliance, and broader practice services. Strong technical knowledge, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple client accounts efficiently are essential. A proactive attitude, good communication skills, and a commitment to ongoing professional development are highly valued.
Responsibilities
As a Senior Accountant, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and reviewing year-end financial statements for a varied client base, including sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
- Handling tax computations, submissions, and planning, ensuring compliance with current legislation.
- Providing technical support and guidance to junior team members, fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Being involved in client meetings, offering financial advice and resolving complex accounting issues.
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of internal processes and ensuring all work adheres to the firm’s quality standards.
- Managing deadlines effectively and maintaining high levels of client satisfaction.
