Senior Accounting Analyst| Finance – Target Processing (Monthly Account Reconciliations & Profitability Analysis) Location: UK – Hatfield | Contract: Standard | Business Unit: Finance & Accounting
About the Role
The Group Finance Operations function delivers key financial processes across the company, ensuring efficient and effective financial support to drive commercial goals. The role sits within the Accounting team, focused on proactive financial analysis to support the Commercial Finance team.
A core responsibility is handling month-end production tasks, ensuring accurate reporting and analysis within tight deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Conduct monthly profitability and margin analysis across Business Services areas.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify, understand, and resolve financial issues.
- Reconcile and investigate intercompany transactions for accuracy.
- Contribute to ad hoc financial projects to enhance processes and reporting.
- Produce timely, accurate accounts, including balance sheet reconciliations.
- Continuously improve financial processes and systems for efficiency.
- Support other Finance and business areas with financial insights.
- Maintain IFRS16 compliance, ensuring accurate reporting to Group Finance.

Requirements
- ACCA/CIMA qualification (finalist or qualified) required.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar financial accounting/month-end analytics role.
- Experience in supervisory capacity (preferred) or able to assist management accountants.
- Advanced Excel proficiency, with experience in data manipulation and financial modelling.
- SAP experience, while not mandatory, is highly preferred.
- Strong ability to communicate financial insights to non-financial managers clearly and concisely.
- Strong interpersonal and analytical skills, with a focus on problem-solving and root-cause analysis.
- Commitment to meeting deadlines with high-quality, accurate outputs.
- Ability to provide concise, actionable financial reports for decision-making.
