Growing international business seeking an experienced Accountant for a broad role across reporting, cash management and process improvement.
Accountant Salary: Up to £55,000
Location: North Herts
Working Pattern: 4 days in office
We’re working with a growing international business looking to appoint an experienced Accountant to join their finance team.
This is a broad role with exposure across cash management, financial reporting, working capital and month-end, alongside the opportunity to get involved in process improvement and automation across the wider finance function.
The Role
- Managing day-to-day cash activity and monitoring balances across multiple entities
- Supporting cash flow and working capital reporting
- Preparing bank and balance sheet reconciliations and investigating outstanding items
- Managing intercompany transactions, balances and settlements
- Supporting month-end, quarter-end and year-end close
- Preparing journals and supporting schedules
- Producing regular financial reporting and analysis for senior stakeholders
- Supporting banking administration and maintaining appropriate financial controls
- Working closely with Accounts Receivable, Operations and wider finance teams
- Supporting improvements to finance systems, processes and reporting
- Getting involved in automation projects to improve efficiency across the finance function
- Providing information and support for internal and external audits
- Assisting with ad hoc financial analysis and wider finance projects

What We’re Looking For

- Strong accounting experience within a commercial environment
- Exposure to cash management, banking, treasury or working capital
- Experience within an international or multi-entity business would be beneficial
- Strong month-end, reconciliation and financial reporting experience
- Confident working with stakeholders across the wider business
- Process improvement or finance automation experience
- Strong Excel and analytical skills
- Accounting qualification or relevant finance qualification preferred
