We are representing an established North East accountancy practice, looking for an Accountant on a full-time, permanent basis to join their South Tyneside office.

Their team is renowned for its client-focused approach, and supportive work environment. You must be able to demonstrate experience in a similar role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and examine financial records, ensuring all transactions are accurate and comply with legal regulations.
  • Manage all aspects of bookkeeping, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare financial statements, tax returns, and other financial reports.
  • Provide strategic financial advice to clients, helping them to make informed business decisions.
  • Handle payroll processing and related compliance.
  • Assist with audits and financial reviews.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
  • Keep up-to-date with financial regulations and industry trends.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in an all-round accounts role.
  • Previous experience working in an accountancy practice.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and procedures.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
