Equifind Wealth Manager Accountant Opportunity
Equifind have partnered with a successful wealth manager who are seeking to hire a newly qualified Accountant (ACA) to report to the FC. (Team of 12).
The company is a listed firm with 350 people in the office, headquartered in London but with global offices/operations. Employees are in the office 3 days a week.
Objective of the Role
As the wealth manager gears up for growth, this role is a new addition to the team. The Accountant can shape and mould the role. It will be hands-on, helping cover AP/AR, month-end, management accounts, stats prep, VAT, and financial reporting.
The team will be 12 persons overall, providing cradle to grave experience, ideal for a first move out of practice. You will report to the FC and work closely with the CFO.
Job Description
Finance Operations and Reporting:
- Prepare financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Perform day-to-day accounting tasks, including journal entries, general ledger maintenance, and reconciliations, to ensure accurate and timely financial records.
- Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring adherence to deadlines and accounting principles.
- Oversee and review the process for completing global VAT returns.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve accounting discrepancies and answer inquiries related to financial transactions.
- Assist in the coordination and support of external audits, liaising with auditors and providing necessary documentation and explanations. Schedules and audit queries.
- Assist in the preparation of periodic financial reports for management and stakeholders, providing insights and recommendations based on analysis.
- Continuously identify opportunities to streamline processes, enhance system efficiencies, and improve data accuracy and reporting capabilities.
- Provide ad hoc projects and support to the wider teams as and when required.

- The new Accountant ideally will be an ACA qualified accountant.
- A minimum of three years' experience - an audit/practice firm desired.
- Strong Excel skills essential.
- Very strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- A high level of determination, willingness, and flexibility to deliver to a high standard against tight deadlines.
- Be able to present financial data to a high standard in a clear and concise format.
- Collaborates across the organisation by communicating regularly and consistently to peers.
What’s On Offer
- £60,000-65,000 base salary, dependent on experience.
