An Exciting Opportunity for an Accountant
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Accountant / Part-Qualified or Qualified Accountant/QBE to join a successful and growing SME international business based in Westbourne, Bournemouth, Dorset with operations across the UK, US, and Middle East.
This is a broad and varied financial accounting role, working closely with the CEO, Management Accountant, and wider business. You’ll have the opportunity to take ownership, develop your technical skills, and play an important role in a growing, flat-structured, supportive organisation.
The Accountant Role
- Managing month-end and year-end accounts, including balance sheet reconciliations
- Supporting management accounts and statutory accounts
- Overseeing VAT returns, payroll, and tax accruals
- Maintaining the fixed asset register and depreciation
- Supporting corporation tax and international tax compliance
- Assisting with US sales tax and Middle East operations
- Liaising with external accountants, auditors, and tax advisers
- Supporting R&D tax relief claims
- Improving finance systems, controls, and processes
- Providing accounting support across the wider business

About You
You could be a qualified Accountant (AAT, ACCA, ACA, or CIMA), an experienced QBE Accountant, or a part-qualified Accountant who is ready to step into a broader role and take on more responsibility.
We're looking for someone who is positive, ambitious, commercially minded, and keen to learn. You don't need to have experience in every area listed above — the business is happy to support someone with the right attitude who wants to develop, or someone with all the skills seeking progression as the company grows.

- Strong Excel and accounting systems experience is important, with knowledge of VAT, payroll, financial accounting, and month-end reporting desirable.

- Salary Range: £40,000-£55,000 DOE
