The Role
Real Estate in London is about working on marquee, well known high performing assets. This is why I am pleased to be representing my client who owns a landmark London asset at the centre of its portfolio.
I am working with a privately owned real estate investment business that takes a long term approach to owning and operating prime property assets to appoint an Accountant to join their Finance Team.
Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, this role will act as a true number two, offering broad exposure across reporting, forecasting, controls and business partnering across the company.
You'll play a key role in the day to day financial management of a high profile property asset, taking ownership of reporting, forecasting, financial controls and business partnering activities.
This is a broad position offering exposure across the full finance function and the opportunity to work closely with senior stakeholders in a collaborative and commercially focused environment.

Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly management accounts, including profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow reporting
- Manage the month end process, including journals, accruals and prepayments
- Complete balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances
- Produce monthly reporting packs with supporting analysis and commentary
- Support budgeting, forecasting and cash flow planning activities
- Provide financial insight and analysis to support business decision making
- Assist with VAT returns, audits and statutory reporting requirements
- Maintain strong financial controls and identify opportunities for process improvement
- Work closely with operational stakeholders across the business
- Prepare ad hoc reporting, analysis and financial modelling as required
About You
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified or finalist
- Experience within a financial accounting or management accounting role
- Confident preparing management accounts from start to finish
- Strong understanding of month end processes and financial reporting
- Excellent Excel skills
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships across the business
- Property, real estate or asset management experience would be advantageous
