Qualified Accountant | Central London | Permanent | Hybrid

Sheridan Maine is delighted to be recruiting for a Qualified Accountant to join an established and well-respected organisation based in Central London.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant looking to take the next step in their career within a stable and supportive organisation. Working as part of a professional finance team, you will play an important role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong financial controls, and effective management of the organisation's finances.

The Role

Reporting to the senior finance team, your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing monthly management accounts and financial reports
  • Supporting the production of statutory accounts and year-end reporting
  • Reviewing financial information and investigating variances
  • Preparing balance sheet reconciliations and maintaining accurate financial records
  • Supporting budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Assisting with audit requirements and liaising with external auditors
  • Monitoring financial controls and identifying opportunities for improvement
  • Providing financial insight and support to stakeholders across the organisation
  • Contributing to wider finance projects and process improvements

About You

We are looking for a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with strong technical accounting skills and relevant post-qualification experience.

You will be:

  • Commercially aware with a strong understanding of financial reporting
  • Highly analytical, with excellent attention to detail
  • Confident working with financial data and interpreting results
  • Able to communicate financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders
  • Organised and comfortable managing competing priorities
  • Proactive, collaborative, and keen to contribute to continuous improvement
  • Confident using Excel and financial systems
