Role Purpose
At Morrisons, we’re more than just numbers – we’re about driving real commercial success. This isn't just about reporting figures; it’s about getting under the skin of the business, challenging decisions, and influencing strategy.
This dynamic business partnering role is central to the profitability of our rapidly growing Online partnerships (Deliveroo, JustEat, UberEats, Wholesale Immediacy and Convenience Immediacy). You will be responsible for full end-to-end P&L reporting and analysis, covering key areas such as sales, margin, marketing, and commission costs.
You'll be responsible for:
- Weekly sales/margin reporting and analysis.
- Providing your stakeholders with commentary on trade for the previous week.
- Month end preparation including the processing of journals and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Providing variance analysis and trending techniques to measure performance against budget, forecasts and business cases.
- Maintaining a high level of financial control within your area.
- Identifying financial risks and opportunities for departments, as well as areas to speed up and simplify.
- Developing and maintaining strong working relationships with colleagues across the site and the rest of the Finance team.
- Take a pivotal role in expediting the centralisation of controls and reporting, actively driving process improvements and laying the groundwork for a more efficient, future-proofed team structure.

About You

You'll ideally have the following skills/experience:
- You’ll ideally be a qualified Accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Previous experience working in a large complex organisation.
- Previous experience working in retail would be advantageous but not essential.
- A good understanding of trading and good commercial acumen.
- Attention to detail with the ability to prioritise and manage a varied workload to meet agreed deadlines.
