The successful candidate will work with a varied portfolio of clients, preparing accounts for businesses with turnovers of up to £5–6 million, from clients within the trades, medical and tech companies, whilst also supporting payroll, charity accounts, tax compliance and wider client advisory work. Skills & Experience
- ACA or ACCA qualified, or Qualified by Experience (QBE)
- Previous experience working within an accountancy practice is essential
- Confident preparing accounts for businesses with turnovers of up to £5–6 million
- Experience producing company tax returns, self-assessment tax returns and payroll
- Strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills and a proactive, client-focused approach
Roles & Responsibilities
- Preparing year-end statutory accounts for a varied portfolio of limited companies, sole traders, partnerships and charities
- Managing payroll services and supporting clients with day-to-day financial and accounting queries
- Preparing company tax returns and self-assessment tax returns to ensure compliance with HMRC requirements
- Completing assurance work and maintaining accurate financial records in line with professional standards
- Building strong relationships with clients whilst using software including Xero, QuickBooks, TaxCalc and Sage
