Part-Time Bookkeeper/Accountant (Part-Qualified)

The Company
Dartmouth Brands Limited is a London-based company with a curated portfolio of watch, jewellery, and accessory brands, developed for multi-channel retailers across the UK.
We're looking for a smart, motivated individual to join our small team in our Holborn office on a part-time basis (2–3 days per week), covering maternity leave for 6–12 months. We offer flexible working, including at least one day per week from home if preferred.
As a small team, you'll gain exposure to all areas of the business and have real influence over decisions and direction. This also means you'll need to be flexible and hands-on, happy to get involved wherever you're needed. We have ambitious growth plans, and this is a great opportunity to join at an early stage and help shape the business's success.
The Role

- Reporting to: Head of Operations
We're looking for someone who understands inventory-based businesses and has experience with e-commerce and multi-channel retail. You'll work closely with our external accounting partner to improve our reporting, and with the Operations team to further automate and integrate our systems, putting in place the level of detail needed for a growing business.

You'll be responsible for all bookkeeping tasks and payroll, and for providing the management team with monthly management accounts. You'll improve and develop robust reporting procedures, and accurately deliver timely reports and analysis of the P&L, balance sheet, and cashflow.
Experience with Xero, Amazon/Shopify, and ERP systems would be a distinct advantage, as would knowledge of cross-border trading and EU VAT regulations.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience
- Part-qualified, newly qualified, or qualified by experience
- Strong foundation in accounting and finance, with the ability to support routine financial operations
- Experience with financial statements, including assisting in their preparation and review
- Proficiency in accounting software and basic bookkeeping practices to maintain accurate records
- Ability to multi-task, prioritise, and meet deadlines
- Advanced Excel skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly energetic and self-motivated
- Strong attention to detail
- Flexible, with willingness to take on increasing scope and responsibility

Desirable Experience
- Working knowledge of Xero accounting software
- E-commerce, marketplace, and multi-channel B2C experience
- Using and integrating ERP systems in an inventory-based business
- Inventory value reconciliation
- Multi-region trading, EU VAT, and/or managing FX tools
