The team has hands-on experience of running businesses, enabling practical, tailored support to help clients succeed. Services span payroll, bookkeeping, VAT and tax returns, accounts preparation, company formation, and financial forecasting. The company also provides mentoring, admin support, and virtual office services, offering a comprehensive, client-focused approach that goes beyond traditional accountancy.
Role Description
The Accounting Bookkeeper will manage day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting tasks for a portfolio of SME and micro-business clients. Responsibilities include:

- Maintaining accurate ledgers
- Posting journal entries
- Reconciling bank and credit accounts
- Assisting with the preparation of financial statements and VAT returns
- Working with accounting software to process transactions
- Supporting payroll preparation
- Helping produce information for tax and management accounts

This is a part-time hybrid role based in Pontypool, with regular on-site work at the office and some work-from-home flexibility.
Qualifications
- Strong bookkeeping skills, including accurate data entry, ledger maintenance, and journal entries (accounting).
- Ability to prepare and interpret financial statements and other finance-related reports.
- Proficiency with accounting software and related digital tools.
- Good understanding of basic accounting principles, VAT, and small business finance.
- Relevant qualification or training in accounting, bookkeeping, or finance (e.g., AAT or equivalent) is preferred but not essential.
- Excellent attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small team, with clear communication and client-facing skills.
- Experience working with SMEs or micro businesses is an advantage.
