About The Role
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Part-Time Accounts Assistant to join our dynamic finance team. This role offers a unique opportunity for individuals looking to develop their career within a reputable international organization while maintaining flexibility through part-time hours. The successful candidate will be involved in a diverse range of finance activities, including both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions, as well as broader finance administration and office support duties. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:
- Previous experience working within Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, or a similar transactional finance role.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Experience working in large organizations or multinational environments is preferred.
- Ability to prioritize workload effectively and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency in finance systems and advanced Excel skills.
- A team-oriented mindset with a willingness to support various areas within the finance function.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of duties, including but not limited to:
- Processing purchase invoices, credit notes, and reconciling supplier statements to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Supporting Accounts Receivable activities such as invoicing, credit control, and customer account reconciliations.
- Managing invoice queries, resolving PO issues, and maintaining accurate finance control sheets.
- Assisting with multi-currency and intercompany invoicing processes to support international transactions.
- Performing credit checks and supporting wider month-end finance administration to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
- Providing ad-hoc support to the finance team and assisting with office coordination duties as needed.
