Founded in 1982, Bella Figura is one of the world's most exclusive decorative lighting companies. Based in Chelsea, London, we work with the world’s leading interior designers, architects, luxury hotels, property developers and yacht builders. Specialising in Art Deco inspired Murano glass table lamps, wall lights and chandeliers, our products are all hand-made out of the highest quality materials by small, family run workshops across Europe.

Job Brief

We are looking for a motivated and organised Accounting Clerk to join our finance team on a part-time, fixed-term basis, working between 2 and 4 days per week for 3 months with the possibility to extend if required. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop a career in accountancy while gaining practical experience under the guidance of a fully qualified and experienced Chartered Accountant. Responsibilities

  • Assisting with the reconciliation of purchase and sales ledger accounts.
  • Contacting customers and suppliers to resolve account queries.
  • Requesting copies of outstanding or missing invoices and credit notes.
  • Entering purchase and sales invoices accurately into the accounting system.
  • Matching invoices to customer receipts and supplier payments.
  • Reconciling customer and supplier statements to ensure balances agree.
  • Investigating and resolving discrepancies on customer and supplier accounts.
  • Maintaining accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
  • Assisting with general finance administration and other ad hoc accounting duties as required.

Skills Required

Essential

  • Has excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
  • Is organised and able to manage their workload effectively.
  • Has good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Is confident speaking with customers and suppliers by telephone and email.
  • Is comfortable using Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Is eager to learn and develop within an accounting environment.
  • Can work independently while also being part of a small team.

Desirable

  • Studying towards AAT, ACCA, CIMA or another recognised accounting qualification.
  • Recent school or college graduate with a strong interest in pursuing a career in accountancy.
  • Previous experience in an accounts or administration role would be beneficial but is not essential, as full training will be provided.
