Finance Data & External Reporting Business Analyst
London (3 days per week onsite)

Overview
We are seeking an experienced Finance Data & External Reporting Business Analyst to support a major finance transformation programme. The role will focus on improving finance processes, strengthening financial controls, enhancing data quality, and supporting the implementation of ERP and reporting solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide SME support across External Reporting processes, finance systems, and finance data.
- Link transactional data from Sub-ledger to the correct ledger.
- Gather and document requirements (business, data, functional, and technical).
- Support the design of standardised finance processes, reducing manual workarounds and increasing automation.
- Analyse financial and operational data to identify process inefficiencies, data issues, and improvement opportunities.
- Support data lineage, data governance, and master data management activities.
- Contribute to ERP implementation activities, including opening balances, data migration, testing, and reporting readiness.
- Execute UAT and support defect resolution to ensure solutions meet business requirements.
- Maintain data traceability documentation and support the implementation of effective data controls.
- Work closely with Finance, Data, Technology, and Change stakeholders to manage risks, issues, and delivery timelines.

Required Experience
- Strong background in Finance Transformation, Finance Change, or ERP programmes.
- Insurance sector experience is a must.
- Experience with External Reporting, Financial Controls, and Finance Data Management.
- Understanding of Data Lineage, Data Governance, and Master Data Management principles.
- Proven experience gathering requirements and supporting system implementations.
- Strong analytical and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience within a regulated or complex corporate environment is highly desirable.
