An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Accounting Director to join a leading professional services firm in Nottingham, taking ownership of a varied client portfolio and leading a high-performing team. This role offers significant leadership opportunity as you progress into the department lead in the coming years.

Client Details

Our client is a nationally recognised accountancy and business advisory firm with a strong presence across the UK, supporting a wide range of owner-managed businesses, SMEs and larger corporates. The firm provides a comprehensive suite of services including audit, accounting, tax and advisory, and has built a strong reputation for delivering practical, commercially focused advice. Due to continued growth in the Midlands, the business is seeking to appoint an Accounting Director to strengthen its senior leadership team.

Description

  • Manage and develop a substantial portfolio of clients across a variety of sectors, acting as a trusted advisor on accounting and business matters
  • Lead and oversee the delivery of statutory accounts, management reporting and advisory projects
  • Drive business development activity, identifying opportunities to expand services and win new clients
  • Provide strategic input into client engagements, offering insight on growth, profitability and efficiencies
  • Lead, mentor and develop a team of managers and senior staff, ensuring high standards and strong performance

Profile

  • ACA or ACCA qualified with significant post-qualification experience within practice
  • Proven track record of managing client relationships and delivering accounting services at a senior level
  • Strong commercial awareness with the ability to identify and act on growth opportunities
  • Experience in leading and developing teams within a professional services environment
