Who We Are:

At Omaze, we give our community in the UK and Germany the chance to win luxury homes and other life-changing prizes — all while raising money for the causes they love.

Thanks to our Omaze Community, we’ve raised over £150 million for UK charities in just five years. That’s millions helping organisations like Age UK, the RSPCA, British Heart Foundation and Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity deliver life-saving work.

And the best part? We’re only just getting started. Omaze is building a business and culture committed to growth and creating significant social impact on a global scale.

🔑 About The Job

To provide senior leadership continuity for UK accounting during a maternity-cover of 12 months owning the UK close, statutory reporting, audit delivery and financial controls for a high-growth, complex business. This is a hands-on director role in a lean team that has recently undergone significant transformation (an NetSuite migration, new products, etc), with several major reporting and governance obligations landing during the cover period. The successful candidate will combine strong technical and operational accounting with practical leadership and the ability to keep a fast-moving finance function running smoothly.

🔧 What You’ll Be Doing

  • Monthly close: own the UK close on a US GAAP basis, plus the UK statutory (IFRS / FRS 101) books, ensuring accurate, timely and standards-compliant reporting.
  • Audit: act as primary day-to-day contact for the Omaze UK Ltd and Omaze UK Holdco statutory audits (Deloitte).
  • Team & operations: manage the UK accounting team and coordinate the outsourced accounts payable team, overseeing accounts payable (ApprovalMax) and day-to-day banking and treasury operations (Barclays, JPM).
  • Technical accounting: oversee complex, recurring areas including prize-draw revenue recognition, charity liabilities (five-year, present-value-discounted payout schedules), winner payout schedules (twelve-month standing orders), lease accounting, and intercompany loans and cost push-downs across the group.
  • Tax & compliance: support VAT, corporation tax, and other HMRC filings (PSA, ERS) in coordination with external advisers (KPMG).
  • Controls & process: maintain and strengthen financial controls and standard operating procedure (SOP) documentation as part of the broader controls-framework initiative.
  • Group collaboration: partner with the German, and Global Accounting Directors and the Chief Accounting Officer on group

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
