Insurance is so much more than you think!
Are you looking for a career that will excite, challenge and inspire you after you've finished university? If so, a Zurich Insurance graduate scheme could be just what you're looking for. It's a great way to get real-life experience of working in insurance and discover what you enjoy. You'll get plenty of opportunities and support to shape your career and make a difference to our customers at a time when they need us the most.
Each Zurich graduate scheme is a permanent role and is just the start of your career with us. We'll continue to cheer you on every step of the way once you’ve finished and will remain committed to helping you grow. Working in insurance is so varied - you’ll find many different opportunities to explore.
What can I look forward to?
As an Accounting Graduate, you will have the opportunity to develop your personal and professional skills, while learning from industry experts and senior managers who take a keen interest in your growth. We are passionate about ensuring you settle into the working environment effectively and offer a buddy/mentor who will be a current or former apprentice.
In addition to departmental day-to-day activities, you can expect to be involved in real projects that deliver value to our business and customers. These could include process transformation, providing financial support to the business or developing MI for management, while being grounded in the accounting that forms the backbone of our profession.
Over the three-year rotational programme, you will typically complete three one-year rotations across the accounting teams. No matter what team you’re in, you’ll get to learn from some of our most talented colleagues in the business, who will encourage and guide you to be your best. You’ll also study towards a globally recognised accounting qualification (either ACCA or CIMA), with completion designed to coincide with the end of the rotational programme.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
