Solartron ISA Accounting Manager
The Solartron ISA Accounting Manager oversees all core accounting operations and financial reporting, ensuring compliance with US GAAP, SOX, and corporate policies. This role leads the Accounting Department, manages statutory reporting and audits, and supports budgeting, payroll, and monthly closings. The Accounting Manager supports the Plant Controller and international teams to maintain high standards of accuracy and integrity across all financial activities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Preparation of monthly and quarterly reports which summarize business activity and financial position in areas of sales, product costs, variances, expenses, and earnings.
- Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual journal entries to record activities of the company.
- Prepare balance sheet and other account reconciliations.
- Ensure corporate SOX compliance and Corporate Policies and Procedures are adhered to.
- Support departmental functions including but not limited to cash management, payroll, financial analysis, budget analysis, regulatory reporting, coordinating and managing monthly closing activities.
- Support preparation of annual budget and related presentations.
- Support UK statutory reporting and audits.
- Other duties as assigned.

Travel: 5% - Occasional domestic and international travel as required by the Business Unit / Division.

Qualifications and Experience:
- Qualified Accountant status (preferably CIMA or ACCA).
- Minimum 7 years' related experience and/or training.
- Manufacturing industry experience utilizing standard cost systems.
- ERP system experience.
- Strong Excel Skills (Pivot Tables, Lookup functions, etc).
- Highly detail-oriented.
- Excellent organization, documentation, and prioritization skills.
- Ability to meet tight reporting deadlines.
- High motivation to achieve personal, team, and business goals.
- Demonstrated ability and willingness to use AI tools to improve productivity, decision-making, work quality, and to reduce costs. The successful candidate must be able to identify appropriate AI use cases and critically evaluate AI-generated outputs.
