Accounting Manager

Are you an experienced practice professional looking for your next step, with a £58,000 - £65,000 salary on offer? This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established accountancy firm where you can take ownership of a portfolio, build trusted client relationships and have genuine influence over the service provided.

The opportunity

As an Accounting Manager, you'll manage a varied portfolio of clients, acting as a key point of contact while overseeing the delivery of accounts, tax and wider advisory work.

  • Managing your own portfolio of clients across a range of sectors and business sizes
  • Overseeing the preparation and review of year-end and statutory accounts
  • Supporting clients with corporation tax and personal tax matters where appropriate
  • Building long-term relationships and becoming a trusted adviser to your portfolio
  • Reviewing work produced by junior and semi-senior team members
  • Providing coaching, guidance and technical support to colleagues
  • Identifying opportunities to introduce additional services and strengthen client relationships
  • Working closely with partners and senior management on more complex client requirements
  • Helping to improve processes and maintain high standards of service delivery
  • Taking an active interest in the commercial performance and development of your portfolio

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
