Role Description
The Accounting Manager is a part-time 30 hrs per week, on-site role based in Cannock. The role is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting activities, including overseeing the general ledger, preparing and reviewing financial statements, and ensuring accurate journal entries.

Key responsibilities include:

- Monitoring fixed asset records
- Supporting budgeting and forecasting
- Performing regular reconciliations to maintain accurate financial data
- Collaborating with management to provide and assisting with month-end and year-end close processes
- Working closely with operations and sales teams to ensure timely invoicing, payments, and cost control
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Financial Statements and Finance to support reporting, budgeting, and decision-making
- Solid Analytical Skills to interpret financial data and identify trends, risks, and opportunities
- Expertise in Journal Entries (Accounting) and general ledger management to ensure accurate and complete records
- Experience with Fixed Assets, including tracking, depreciation, and reconciliation
- Relevant qualifications such as a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
- Proficiency with accounting software and Excel, and familiarity with UK accounting standards and compliance requirements
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage part-time hours effectively on-site
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across departments
