I am recruiting for our very well established client.
You will need to be ACA qualified with Big 4 experience for this Accounting Manager role, with experience managing month-end close in a multinational business.
This is a Hybrid role with travel to Hillingdon site twice per week.
Financial Accountant - ACA Qualified
Location: Hillingdon - Hybrid Model
Salary: Approx. £70,000 + Benefits
Ideal Background
- ACA/ACCA with a Corporate Audit background (Big 4 or large corporate audit function).
- Experience in Finance Operations or Shared Service Centres within a large, complex organisation (ideally £700m+ revenue, FTSE-listed or multinational).
- Manufacturing accountancy experience is a significant advantage

Key Skills
- Process improvement and continuous improvement mindset.
- Automation and systems optimisation experience.
- Comfortable identifying inefficiencies and proposing solutions.
- Experience improving month-end close processes and reducing reporting timelines.
- Exposure to ERP systems such as SAP / JD Edwards.
- Strong understanding of Finance Operations and Shared Service environments.
- Able to step into non-routine work and provide cover for the Head of Operational Accounting when required.

Operational Accounting
- Month End Close
- Balance Sheet reconciliations
- Journal Entries
- Perform analytical reviews of P&L and balance sheet performance.
- Fixed Assets
- VAT & Tax Accounting
- Payroll Accounting
- AP & AR oversight
- Internal Controls
- Work closely with Tax, Treasury and Group Reporting teams.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS and Group accounting policies.
- Process improvement and automation, e.g. reducing month end from 8 days to 5 days.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills
- ERP experience (SAP & JDE preferred)
- Advanced Excel

Skills
