Stellantis & You Head Office

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and driven Accounting Manager to join Stellantis & You Head Office.

Reporting to the Chief Accounting Officer (CAO), you will oversee the day-to-day accounting operations, ensure accurate financial reporting, support month-end processes, and act as a key contact for dealerships, Head Office and finance stakeholders. You will play a critical role in delivering accurate management information, maintaining compliance with Group reporting requirements, and driving continuous improvement across accounting processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage financial accounting, management accounts, forecasting and Group reporting in line with UK GAAP and IFRS requirements.
  • Lead day-to-day accounting operations and support the accounting team in delivering accurate and timely financial information.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and ad hoc financial analysis and reporting.
  • Ensure balance sheet reconciliations, journal reviews and accounting controls meet Group standards and delegated authority requirements.
  • Oversee month-end and year-end reporting processes, ensuring all deadlines are achieved.
  • Produce and analyse balance sheet, profit and loss, stock and cash flow reporting, investigating and explaining significant variances.
  • Manage intercompany reconciliations and statutory returns, including Office for National Statistics submissions.
  • Act as the main finance contact for dealerships, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Regional Finance teams and Head Office.
  • Support and deputise for the CAO when required.
  • Ensure accounting policies, procedures and controls are documented, reviewed and continuously improved.
  • Liaise with external and internal auditors, acting as a key point of contact during audits and statutory accounts preparation.
  • Support the accurate integration and analysis of payroll and operational financial data.
  • Resolve complex accounting queries and provide guidance to finance and operational stakeholders.

About You

We are looking for a qualified accounting professional with strong leadership skills and experience within a dealership or automotive retail environment.

  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified (or equivalent).
  • 3-6 years' post-qualification experience in a financial accounting role.
  • Strong experience of month-end, year-end and financial reporting processes.
  • Detailed knowledge of dealership accounting and dealership operations.
  • Working knowledge of the Autoline Dealer Management System (DMS).
  • Advanced Excel and strong Microsoft Office skills.
  • Highly analytical with excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the business.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to meet strict reporting deadlines.
  • Positive, proactive and collaborative approach with a commitment to continuous improvement.
