Key Responsibilities

Do you have a professional background in accounting policy and business advisory services? Do you have a transformation-ready mindset? We’re looking for an addition to our Group Accounting Policy (GAP) to provide assistance with:

  • Developing IFRS accounting policies and delivery of advice across a wide range of topics to constituents across our leading Global Wealth Management, Investment Bank and Asset Management, and Swiss Personal & Corporate banking business divisions and Group Functions.
  • Coordination and monitoring GAP’s Accounting change workflow.
  • Coordination of the GAP’s IFRS Standard Setting monitoring.
  • Organizing and coordinating Group Accounting Policy’s (GAP) input into the UBS's annual and quarterly external reporting workflow.

You will:

  • Stay at the forefront of new and emerging topics that impact the Group’s financial accounting.
  • Assist with the implementation of new accounting policy requirements, partnering with the impacted Business divisions, Finance and Technology.
  • Gain a deeper understanding of the banking ecosystem.

The Team

You’ll be a member of the global GAP team. GAP is a team of accounting subject matter experts that delivers accounting policy advice to all UBS Business Divisions and Group Functions.

You have:

  • Higher Education (university degree) combined with one of the internationally recognized accountancy qualifications (e.g. ACA, CPA).
  • 4 to 6 years in public accounting / audit / accounting advisory function.
  • AI / process-automation literacy.
  • A good understanding of IFRS, knowledge of Swiss GAAP will be advantage.
  • Knowledge on the financial services industry.

You are:

  • An excellent communicator (both orally and in writing) with ability to interact effectively with staff at all levels including senior management.
  • An individual with strong analytical skills.
  • Methodical, concise and accurate, with strong attention to detail.
  • Proactive, hands on solution oriented and flexible.
  • An individual who displays commitment and strong ownership of tasks and works consistently towards goals and resolutions.
  • Able to cooperate and consult appropriately with a wide range of individuals both in GAP and the wider organization.
  • Able to balance demands of a diverse client and project portfolio in a dynamic environment.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Proficient user of MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
