Location: Glasgow / Clydebank (Hybrid)
Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 per annum + Performance Bonus + Future Equity Opportunity
Working Pattern: Hybrid (2-3 Days Office | 2-3 Days Home)

Knightwell Recruitment is delighted to be partnering with a modern, ambitious and rapidly growing Accountancy Practice in the Glasgow / Clydebank area to recruit an experienced Practice Manager.
This is a genuine leadership opportunity offering a clear route to Partnership and future equity for the right individual.
Working closely with the Partners, you'll play a key role in managing the day-to-day operations of the practice, leading the team and helping shape the future growth of the business.
The successful candidate will manage a team of 4-5 UK-based Accountants, together with 1-2 offshore team members based in India, ensuring exceptional client service, technical excellence and operational efficiency.
Office attendance of 2-3 days per week is required, therefore applicants should live within a reasonable commuting distance of Glasgow or Clydebank.

The Role
Reporting directly to the Partners, your responsibilities will include:
- Leading, mentoring and developing a team of 4-5 UK-based Accountants.
- Managing and supporting 1-2 offshore team members based in India.
- Reviewing statutory accounts, management accounts and client deliverables.
- Managing workflow, deadlines and resource planning across the practice.
- Acting as the senior point of contact for a portfolio of clients.
- Conducting staff appraisals, mentoring and performance reviews.
- Ensuring compliance with UK accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Driving operational improvements and increasing efficiencies.
- Supporting recruitment, onboarding and future growth plans.
- Working closely with the Partners on strategic planning and business development.
About You
To be considered for this opportunity you should have:
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA, ACA or ACCA). Fellow status (CA, FCA or FCCA) is highly desirable.
- A minimum of 8-10 years' UK Accountancy Practice experience.
- Previous experience as a Practice Manager, Client Manager, Senior Manager or Director within an Accountancy Practice.
- Proven experience managing and developing teams.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge, including statutory accounts, management accounts and taxation.
- Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
- Commercial awareness with the ambition to help grow a successful practice.
- The ability to attend the Glasgow / Clydebank office 2-3 days per week.

Recruitment Process
The recruitment process consists of two stages:
- Microsoft Teams Interview.
- Final Interview with the Partners.
