Job Title: Accounting Technician (ASC Payments & Billing)
Hourly rate: Negotiable
Work Pattern: Hybrid (Onsite for training at the beginning, once completed can move to a flexible working arrangement). Start between 8:00am and 9:30am, finish time dependent on start.
Contract length: 9 months
The role
Opus People Solutions are currently recruiting on behalf of a council in the West Midlands. We are looking for an Accounting Technician within the Adult Social Care Payments & Billing Team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow their experience in finance within the public sector, particularly in payments and billing within social care services.

Key accountabilities & responsibilities
- Processing invoices accurately and in a timely manner
- Working with the Controcc system - training provided if required
- Liaising with care providers to resolve payment and billing queries
- Handling queries from social workers regarding payments
- Managing payments to providers delivering social care services
- Raising invoices and supporting the billing function
- Initially focusing on payments, with billing responsibilities increasing once confident

A strong knowledge of MS Excel is required and you will need to complete a 30 minute test and submit it to be reviewed in the allocated time as part of the interview process.
