Hays Accountancy & Finance are partnering with a well-established & award-winning Legal Firm to recruit a hands-on & experienced Accounts Administrator to join their Financial Administration team based in Devizes, Wiltshire. The position reports directly to the Accounts Manager working within a team environment to provide support to all departments regarding client transactions. The organisation's purpose is to provide excellent client service and exceed expectations by being dynamic, inspiring, and proactive; client service is at the heart of everything they do. Your new role

Your key duties will involve working within a team environment to deal with credit/debit card transactions, cheques and cash payments. You will maintain client ledgers, support payment runs, enter invoices into the account's system, transaction postings to the client ledgers including disbursements, costs, fees and monies in/out. You will be involved in day-to-day online client banking and all stages of the conveyancing completion process, from checking completion packs to managing the completion transactions. You will support ad-hoc financial administration & month-end duties when required.

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered for this hands-on Accounts Administrator role, you will need experience in a similar position, experience of working in a busy account's environment dealing with multiple daily deadlines. You will have a high level of attention to detail, key data entry skills, along with being a team player who can work within a close-knit department. You will have key communication skills to build relationships with internal departments and external parties, be comfortable managing your own workload with good IT skills and knowledge of Microsoft packages. You will be adaptable to business needs and a quick learner. Experience within the legal sector, knowledge of SRA rules, handling client monies and Sage accounts system would be advantageous, but not essential.

This permanent Accounts Administrator role will offer a salary between £26,000 - £30,000 per annum, dependent on experience based in Devizes, Wiltshire. The position is full time, 35 hours per week, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays and your birthday off. Additional benefits include a medical-cash plan, employee assistance programmes, a parking permit for free parking, a contributed pension scheme & further company benefits.
