Leading supplier of bespoke and modular lines for labelling and sleeving are looking for a highly organised, conscientious and proactive Accounts & Payroll Administrator to join their team.
This is a varied role, combining accounts administration, payroll processing, financial reporting and general business support. The successful candidate will play an important part in ensuring our financial and administrative operations run smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts & Finance
- Manage customer and supplier accounts, including invoicing, payments and reconciliations.
- Process invoices, proforma invoices and commercial invoices for overseas shipments.
- Manage credit control and ensure timely customer payments.
- Prepare monthly payment runs and supplier remittances.
- Process VAT returns and ensure financial records are accurate.
- Prepare monthly expenditure and accounts payable/receivable reports.
- Maintain accounting records using Sage and Excel.
- Support accountants with year-end activities.

Payroll Administration
- Process monthly payroll, including wages, overtime, commissions, deductions and statutory contributions.
- Generate payslips, P45s and P60s.
- Manage employee onboarding and leavers across HR, payroll and pension systems.
- Maintain accurate employee records in line with GDPR.
- Support pension administration and respond to employee queries.
Additional Business Support
- Manage insurance, energy and waste disposal contract renewals.
- Monitor staff absences and maintain accurate records.
- Order PPE and office supplies.
- Maintain company certifications and documentation.
- Provide reception and telephone cover.
- Support colleagues, including covering the Aftermarket Coordinator during leave.

What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in an Accounts Administrator, Payroll Administrator or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and payroll procedures.
- Experience using Sage accounting and payroll software.
- Advanced Excel skills, including financial formulas and spreadsheets.
- Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Good communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Knowledge of VAT, pensions, National Insurance and payroll compliance.
