Accounts and Audit Semi Senior
Sheffield | Accountancy Practice | Full-Time
An established and growing accountancy practice based in Sheffield is looking to recruit an ambitious and motivated Audit Semi Senior to join its team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has gained 2–3 years’ audit experience, is currently part-qualified ACA or ACCA, and is looking for a role where they can continue to develop their technical skills and progress their career.
The Role
Working as part of the audit team, you will gain exposure to a varied portfolio of clients across a range of sectors and sizes.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with and leading sections of audit assignments
- Preparing audit working papers and supporting documentation
- Carrying out audit testing and substantive procedures
- Assisting with the preparation and completion of statutory accounts
- Working closely with managers and senior team members on audit assignments
- Liaising with clients and building strong professional relationships
- Identifying issues and areas requiring further investigation
- Supporting junior members of the team and helping them develop
- Assisting with ad-hoc accounts and general practice work where required

About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Part-qualified ACA or ACCA, with a genuine desire to continue their studies
- Ideally has 2–3 years' relevant audit experience within an accountancy practice
- Has a good understanding of UK auditing and accounting standards
- Ideally has experience working on statutory audits from planning through to completion
- Comfortable communicating with clients and colleagues
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Commercially aware and able to work to deadlines
- Proactive, enthusiastic and keen to take on additional responsibility
- Looking for a long-term opportunity to develop and progress
