The Role

Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Accounts & Audit Senior to join our dynamic and collaborative team. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified or nearly qualified accountant looking to develop their career within a forward-thinking firm that offers genuine progression opportunities.

You will work with a diverse portfolio of owner-managed businesses, SMEs, charities, and corporate clients across a range of sectors, taking responsibility for both audit assignments and accounts preparation while building strong client relationships.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

  • Planning, leading, and completing audit engagements for a varied client portfolio.
  • Preparing statutory accounts in accordance with UK accounting standards.
  • Reviewing client records and identifying areas of risk and opportunity.
  • Supervising, coaching, and supporting junior team members.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and acting as a trusted adviser.
  • Liaising directly with clients to resolve queries and provide practical solutions.
  • Assisting managers and partners in delivering high-quality client service.
  • Ensuring assignments are completed efficiently and within agreed deadlines.
  • Supporting wider advisory and business development initiatives where appropriate.

We're looking for someone who is technically strong, commercially aware, and passionate about delivering excellent service.

You'll ideally have:

  • ACA or ACCA qualification (or be in the final stages of qualification).
  • Previous experience within an accountancy practice environment.
  • Strong audit and accounts preparation experience.
  • Knowledge of UK GAAP and relevant auditing standards.
  • Experience managing client relationships and handling multiple assignments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A proactive and collaborative approach to work.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
