Accounts Assistant – Kara Healthcare
Pay: Competitive Salary
Contract: Full-Time and Permanent
Location: Kara Healthcare Head Office, Leicester

At Kara Healthcare, we're looking for a friendly and motivated Accounts Assistant to join our finance team at our Head Office in Leicester.
This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to build their career in finance and gain valuable experience within a growing healthcare organisation. You'll work alongside our wider finance team, supporting the day-to-day running of the accounts function and helping to make sure everything is accurate and up to date.

Our finance team plays an important part in this, making sure invoices are processed, payments are made, records are accurate, and our teams have the financial support they need.

What You'll Be Doing
As an Accounts Assistant, you'll support the finance team with a range of day-to-day accounting tasks.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Processing purchase invoices and ensuring they are correctly recorded.
- Matching invoices to purchase orders and resolving any discrepancies.
- Assisting with accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Processing payments and maintaining accurate payment records.
- Carrying out bank and account reconciliations.
- Helping to monitor outstanding invoices and payments.
- Responding to finance-related queries from colleagues and suppliers.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records.
- Assisting with month-end processes.
- Supporting the preparation of financial reports and information.
- Filing and organising financial documentation.
- Assisting with general finance administration.
- Working with care home and head office teams to resolve financial queries.
- Supporting the wider finance team with ad-hoc tasks when required.

What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who is reliable, organised, and keen to learn. You don't necessarily need years of experience — we're more interested in finding someone with the right attitude and willingness to develop.
You'll ideally have:
- Previous experience in an accounts, finance, or administration role.
- Good attention to detail.
- Confidence working with numbers.
- Good Excel and computer skills.
- Strong organisational skills.
- Good written and verbal communication.
- The ability to work accurately and meet deadlines.
- A positive and practical approach to problem-solving.
- The ability to work independently while also being part of a team.
- A willingness to learn and develop your finance skills.
- An AAT qualification, or willingness to work towards one, would be advantageous.
- Experience within healthcare, social care, or a multi-site organisation would be helpful but is not essential.
