Company Description

We’re Hiring: Accounts Assistant!

📍 Location: Birmingham, Hybrid 3 days per week in office

💰 Pay: £26,500

📅 Hours: Monday - Friday, 37.5hrs

Are you our next Accounts Assistant? Do you have experience in finance, a passion to develop in your career and a desire to succeed? You might be a recent Graduate looking for the entrance into the corporate world of finance, the this could be the Accounts Assistant role you have been waiting for.

We are seeking a dynamic, adaptable, high organised and passionate person to join our team in Birmingham, to help deliver exceptional service to our business stakeholders, if this sounds like you, then why not apply!

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately process supplier invoices and perform voucher entry checks.
  • Manage automated and manual payments, direct debits, and cash allocations.
  • Complete daily bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow reporting.
  • Allocate customer remittances using Rimilia and Alloc8 systems.
  • Reconcile supplier statements and address unapplied cash and cheques.
  • Support the month-end closing process with balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Uphold best practice in compliance, procurement, and control processes.

Qualifications

What You’ll Bring

  • Experience in financial transaction processing (Accounts Payable/Receivable). Or a recent finance graduate looking for that big first step into corporate life.
  • Great attention to detail and ability to manage large volumes of data.
  • Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel); experience with Navision is a plus.
  • Studying towards or willing to obtain a professional accounting qualification (ACCA/CIMA).
