Accounts Assistant £30,000 | 5-Month FTC | Potential to Go Permanent | Hybrid – Kings Cross
We are recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to join a successful and well-established business operating within the creative and media industry.
This is an initial 5-month fixed-term contract, with the potential to become a permanent role for the right person. Based in the Kings Cross area, this is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced, creative environment and wants a role where they can take ownership, build relationships across the business, and become a key part of the finance team.
The Role
As Accounts Assistant, you'll support the day-to-day running of the finance function and work closely with colleagues and stakeholders across the business. We're looking for someone with around 3–4 years' experience in an Accounts Assistant, Accounts Payable, or similar finance role. You'll be confident in your abilities, comfortable communicating with different stakeholders, and happy to take ownership of your workload.

Key Responsibilities
- Processing purchase invoices accurately and efficiently
- Raising and posting sales invoices
- Posting bank receipts and payments
- Processing petty cash
- Completing bank and credit card reconciliations
- Supporting monthly finance processes
- Responding to finance queries from internal and external stakeholders
- Building strong working relationships across the business
- Supporting the wider finance team with ad-hoc tasks and projects
About You
You'll ideally have:
- Around 3–4 years' relevant experience in an Accounts Assistant, Accounts Payable, or similar finance role
- Experience supporting regular monthly finance processes
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
- Confidence communicating with stakeholders at different levels
- An outgoing, proactive, and approachable personality
- The confidence to take ownership and manage your own workload
- Strong IT skills, including Excel
- A genuine interest in developing your career within finance

Experience studying towards, or an interest in pursuing, a finance qualification such as AAT, ACCA, or CIMA would be beneficial, but is not essential.
