Responsibilities

Accounts Assistant

Location: Honiton

Hybrid work after training

Salary: circa £26,000 per annum plus benefits

Ref: 8246AA

Main duties: To support the finance team with cashflow management and accounting duties

The Role

  • Support with general bookkeeping including debit and credit processes
  • Process multi-currency payments and sales invoices and manage currency exchange differences
  • Manage sales ledger, purchase ledger and bank reconciliations
  • Assist the finance team with preparation of VAT returns; including month-end and year-end closing
  • Provide excellent customer service and respond to enquiries in a timely manner
  • Give administrative support and other ad hoc duties as required

  • Experience as an Accounts Assistant, Finance Assistant or similar role
  • AAT qualified or part-qualified – Essential
  • Excellent communication skills with a high attention to detail
  • Good organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to be a strong team player as well as work independently
  • IT literate with skills in Excel and SAGE
