Description

We are currently seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant / Semi-Senior Accountant to join our practice based in Honley on a full-time basis (working hours to be discussed).

This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with solid practice experience who is looking for their next step within a supportive and growing team. The successful candidate will have experience preparing accounts and tax returns, managing client relationships, and working independently across a varied portfolio of clients.


Key Responsibilities

  • Preparation of accounts for limited companies and sole traders
  • Corporation Tax returns
  • Self-Assessment Tax Returns, Making Tax Digital submissions and management reports (experience would be advantageous)
  • Preparation and submission of VAT returns
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Reconciling balance sheet items
  • Bookkeeping duties
  • Liaising with clients on a regular basis

Key Requirements

  • AAT qualified, ACA/ACCA part-qualified, or qualified by experience
  • 3+ years’ experience within an accountancy practice environment
  • Experience managing accounts preparation from start to finish
  • Experience dealing directly with clients and managing deadlines

Additional Requirements

  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Experience with cloud-based accounting software, particularly Xero (preferred but not essential)

Model Office Based
