Accounts Assistant
Up to £34k per annum
Alton, Hampshire
ENB are supporting a local accounting practice who are recruiting an Accounts Assistant to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis.
As the Accounts Assistant, your role will be to assist the managers and partner with the effective management of a portfolio of bookkeeping and accounting clients together with conducting ad hoc assignments as requested.
Prior practice experience is required for this role.

Responsibilities
- Provide bookkeeping services, complete tax computations and VAT returns, prepare monthly and quarterly management accounts.
- Preparation of year-end financial accounts from both bookkeeping records prepared in-house and from clients’ records which may be incomplete.
- Ensure that all statutory returns are completed and filed on time.
- Organise the effective time management of your own workload and that of the managers and partner.
- Undertake any ad hoc projects as requested by the partners.

To be considered, you must:
- Have prior working experience within an accountancy practice
- AAT qualified
- Strong eye for detail, be methodical, and take pride in producing neat, clear, and accurate work.
- IT literate with a good working knowledge of MS packages
- Experience with Xero, Sage, QuickBooks would be preferable but not essential
