Role Purpose & What Success Looks Like

The role supports the day-to-day financial operations of the business by maintaining accurate accounting records, processing transactions, completing reconciliations, and assisting with month-end activities. By ensuring financial information is processed accurately and efficiently, you will help provide the business with reliable data to support informed decision-making.

You will maintain accurate and reliable financial records, promptly identify and resolve discrepancies, and consistently meet deadlines. You will effectively manage your workload, respond to queries professionally, and build positive relationships with customers, suppliers, and colleagues. You will also seek opportunities to improve processes, increase efficiency, and reduce manual effort through the effective use of systems and Excel. Ultimately, you will work independently, solve routine problems confidently, and deliver high-quality financial support with minimal supervision.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Process daily bank transactions and perform daily bank reconciliations
  • Raise and issue Sales invoices/credits
  • Process Purchase invoices and oversee purchase ledger entries
  • Match invoices against Purchase Orders
  • Prepare payment runs
  • Process credit card spend
  • Maintenance of the fixed asset register and capex request forms
  • Assisting with annual audit
  • Administration of the finance mailbox and managing incoming supplier and customer queries in a timely manner
  • Ad-hoc credit control tasks such as sending customer statements
