Role

You will be involved in all aspects of the day-to-day accounting, including, but not limited to, Sales Ledger, Purchase Ledger, some Payroll preparation, and Nominal Ledger.

Description

  • Process and record invoices, payments, and expenses accurately.
  • Assist with bank reconciliations and ensure financial records are up to date.
  • Processing of supplier invoices, both purchase ledger and sub-contractors.
  • Maintain accurate records of transactions and financial data.
  • Creation of weekly and monthly supplier payment reports.
  • Maintenance of fixed asset registers and posting depreciation.
  • Communicate with internal teams and external suppliers regarding financial queries.
  • Assist in managing accounts payable and receivable processes.
  • Provide administrative support to the accounting team as needed.
  • Assistance with internal reporting as required.

Profile

A successful Accounts Assistant should have:

  • Previous experience in an accounting or finance-related role.
  • Purchase and Sales Ledger background.
  • A good understanding of accounting principles and procedures.
  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in work.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Knowledge of CIS tax and reverse VAT charge an advantage.

Job Offer

  • A salary of £31,000 to £35,000, dependent on the level of experience.
  • Permanent position.
