Looking for more than just another accounts role? We’re recruiting on behalf of a well-established professional services organisation that is seeking an Accounts Assistant to join its busy finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their accounting career within a supportive environment that offers genuine long-term progression and professional development.
The Opportunity
You’ll play a key role in the day-to-day running of the finance function, helping to ensure accurate financial records, smooth transactional processes, and excellent internal support across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Processing supplier invoices and payments
- Managing accounts payable and receivable
- Performing bank reconciliations
- Supporting credit control activities
- Maintaining accurate financial records
- Processing expenses and cash transactions
- Assisting with billing queries
- Using accounting systems including Xero
- Supporting compliance and financial procedures
- Providing administrative support to the finance team

About You
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience in an accounts, finance, or bookkeeping role
- Demonstrates excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Is confident using Excel and accounting software
- Has strong communication and organisational skills
- Can manage multiple priorities effectively
- Is keen to develop a long-term career within finance
