Role Description
The Accounts Assistant is a full-time, on-site role based in London, supporting the finance function of Holistic Community Care.
Responsibilities include:
- Processing invoices
- Maintaining accurate financial records
- Handling petty cash transactions
- Assisting with credit control activities such as monitoring outstanding payments and following up where necessary
The role will support general accounting tasks, including reconciliations, data entry into accounting systems, and preparation of basic financial reports. The Accounts Assistant will collaborate closely with the finance team and other departments, ensuring timely and accurate information flow to support operational and care services.

Qualifications
- Candidates should possess skills and qualifications in Accounting and Finance, including basic bookkeeping, reconciliations, and familiarity with accounting software.
- Strong IT proficiency, particularly in Microsoft Excel (e.g., VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables) and previous experience using accounting software (e.g., Xero, Sage, QuickBooks).
- Candidates should possess skills in Credit Control, including monitoring receivables, managing payment reminders, and supporting debt recovery processes.
- Candidates should possess skills in handling Petty Cash, including recording transactions, maintaining logs, and ensuring accurate cash balances.
- Candidates should possess strong Communication skills, including clear written and verbal communication and the ability to liaise confidently with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Relevant qualifications in accounting and finance, experience in social care environment is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel), and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines are desirable.
