The Opportunity
You will be joining a very well-established and prestigious international Law Firm as their Junior Accounts Assistant on a full-time, permanent basis. Working in a close-knit team of 6 in Accounts Payable, and be supported by a much larger wide finance team comprised over more than 45 people. This role would suit a junior candidate with 6 months-1 year of finance or office experience, looking to build a long-term career in Accounting & Finance within a collaborative and supportive environment. This role will be based in their modern City of London office 4 days a week with 1 day working from home, and this will then go down to 3 days a week in the office and 2 days working from home once you have passed your probation period.
The Role
Working within the Accounts Payable function, you will support the day-to-day processing of financial transactions and ensure payments are handled accurately and efficiently. Key responsibilities include:

- Reviewing supplier invoices for office costs and client-related expenses.
- Processing employee expense claims.
- Assisting with weekly payment runs and urgent payments when required.
- Responding to payment queries from internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
- Handling client disbursement transactions.
- Requesting and processing VAT receipts.
- Allocating incoming funds to outstanding invoices.
- Ensuring all work is completed in line with internal procedures and regulatory requirements.
Role Requirements
- At least 6 months of finance, office or administrative experience.
- Legal or Professional Services experience is desirable.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Confident communicator with the ability to build relationships across the business.
- Proactive, eager to learn, and able to manage a busy workload effectively.
- An interest in developing a career within finance and accounting.
