Accounts Assistant

Role: Accounts Assistant or we could use Finance Assistant to get better matched candidates

Rate: £14.50 per hour

Duration: Contract until 29/01/2027

Location: Hybrid working - Wednesdays in office Manchester - Angel Square MHQ, Home based 4 days per week

Role Overview

This is a data-focused Accounts Assistant position, with a strong emphasis on data quality, reconciliation, and systems usage rather than traditional accounting duties.

  • Pull data from two different systems and align the information accurately.
  • Work with promotional cycle data, including promotions processed through SAP.
  • Support manual data processes that are still required following the SAP implementation, particularly prior to invoicing.
  • Ensure high levels of accuracy when reviewing and validating data.

Key Requirements

  • Strong Excel skills (the number one priority for the role).
  • Ability to navigate systems confidently and locate relevant data.
  • Previous experience using ERP systems.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work proactively and think beyond standard processes.
  • Confidence to ask questions and seek clarification when needed.
  • Experience working with data reconciliation, validation, or quality assurance processes.

Desirable

  • SAP experience would be beneficial but is not essential.
  • An accounting qualification would be advantageous but is not required.
