Accounts Assistant
Eclectic Recruitment is working with a well-established organisation in West Cambridge who are looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant to support the day-to-day transactional finance function. This role would suit someone with previous finance experience who is looking to develop their skills across both accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Key responsibilities:
- Processing supplier invoices and maintaining accurate accounts payable records
- Managing customer invoices, receipts and outstanding balances
- Assisting with payment runs and supplier statement reconciliations
- Processing employee expenses and ensuring supporting documentation is complete
- Performing bank and balance sheet reconciliations
- Responding to supplier and customer queries in a professional and timely manner
- Maintaining accurate financial records and supporting month-end processes
- Providing general transactional finance and administrative support as required

The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience in an accounts or finance position
- Good understanding of transactional finance, ideally across both AP and AR
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to work
- Good Excel skills and confidence working with financial systems
- Clear communication skills and the ability to manage routine queries effectively
